HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 55AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER, 1, 1940s AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1941. WHEREAS, The City assessment roll has been sub- mitted to the City Council after due and proper notice, and a review and equalization of said assessment roll -by the City Council has been concluded, and WHEREAS, it has been ascertained that the sum of $205,851.08 is"necessary to defray the actual operating and debt service requirements of the municipal government of the City of Ocoee for the tax collection year which begins on November 1, 1940, and which ends on October 31, 1941s now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. That a millage of 777 mills is necess- ary to produce a fund sufficient to defray the actual debt service requirements of the municipal government of the City of Ocoee for the tax year which begins on November 1, 19400 and which ends on October 31, 1941, Section 2. That a millage of 6 mills is necessary to produce a fund sufficient to defray the actual operating sertice requirements of the municipal goverr=ent of the City of Ocoee for the said tax year. Section 3. That the tax rate for the said City of Ocoee for the said fiscal year shall be 777 mills on the so-called excluded properties and 783 mills on the properties remaining within the present city boundaries. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effec- tive immediately upon its becoming an ordinance. Section 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordin- ances in conflict herewith be, and are, to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed. (SE'AL) ATTEST: y Ulerko City of Ocoee.
