Seotion 1. No person, firm or oorporation shall engage in,
oonduot or manage any business, profession or ocoupation, men-
tioned in this Ordinanoe, unless a Town Lioense shall have beenl
prooured from the tax co~leotor of the Town of Oooee, which I
lioense ~hall be issued to each person, firm or oorporation
upon receipt of the amount hereinafter provided or as may be Ii
otherwise provided by ordinanoe.
Seotion 2. No license shall be issued for more than one I
year and all licenses shall expire on the thirty first day of f'
December of eaoh' year exoept as otherwise provided by ordinanoe
All business licenses may be transferred with the approval of
the Olerk with the business for which they were taken out when ~
there is a bona .fide sale and transfer of the property used and
emp1oJ8d in the business as stook in trade, but suoh transferre
license shall not be held good for any longer time or any other'
plaoe than that for whioh it was originally issued; Provided, ,
That the original lioense shall be surrendered to and filed wit
the Olerk at the time application for transfer is made) and sue
transferred lioense after being approved shall be of the same
foroe and effeot as the original lio'nse.
Section 3. All licenses shall be payable on or before the
first day of January of eaoh year, and no license shall be tssu d
for any fra'tional portion of a year, exoept as otherwise provi ed
by ordinance) and excapt that any license may be issued after
the first day of July to expire December thirty first upon
payment of one-half the amount fixed as a'price of suoh lioen..
for one year. '

, ' Section 8. Every Town License shall be signed by the .
. mayor ,and the oorporate seal affixed thereto, and the tax
collector shall fill out and sign eaoh license before issuing
same to the person or persons, paying him the necessary amount 'I
therefor. The tax oollector shall keep a record on a suitable
stubprov~8d in book of lioenses of each lioense issued, the I
date issued, person) persons, firm or corporation to whom issue4,
ocoupation for which issued, and the term for which issued. I
The person or persons obtaining such license shall keep the I
same displayed oonspicuously at their place of business and I
in such a maIUler as to be open to the view of the public and
subjeot to the inspection of all duly authorized officers, and I
upon failure to do so, shall be subject- to the payment of anoth~r
license tax for engaging in or managing the business or occupat~on
for which such license was obtained. I
Section 9. The tax oollector shall make weekly payment I
of amount collected by him for licenses to the treasurer.
Section 10. Any pereon or persons, firm or o:rporat1on. I
that shall oarry on or conduct any business- or profession for I
which a license is requir.d, without first obtaining suoh
license shall be punished by imprisonment not exoeeding sixty
days, or by a f:lne of not more than double the amount requ1red
for suoh license, Provided that no fine in excess of five '
hundred dollars Shall be imposed. -
