Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ocoee: That Ordinance Number I be amended to reqd as follows: AN ORDINAiJCE PRESCRIBnm THE FORM AND REGULATING THE PAS'3AGE OF ORDINANCES BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 8ITY OJT OCOI.~E. Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ocoee: Section 1. No Ordinance shall be passsd by the Council of the City of Ocoee unless there be at least three Councilmen voting for the passage of said ordinance. Section 2. The enacting clause of each Ordinance shall be as follows: "Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ocoee:" Section 3. Each Ordinance shall show that it was passed by the Council in oren session, and shall set out the date of passage. Section 4. Each Ordinance passed by the Council of the City of Ocoee shall be si~ned by the President or President Fro Tern., and shall be attested by the Clerk who shall affix the corrorate seal thereto. Section 5. Each Ordinance passed by the Council shall be submitted by the Clerk to the Mayor or person acting as such for his a pp ro va I . Section 6. The record of proceedings of Council shall show the passage of each Ordinance by its number and title, and the names of the Councilmen voting for and those voting against, but it shall not be necessary to set out the entire Ordinance in the record; provided, however, that when the Mayor or person acting as such shall return an ordinance disarq.-.roveo with his objections in writing, the same shall be entered lh full upon the record of their proceedinss. Section 7. 1li7hen t.he Mayor or person act.ing as sucb shall return an Ordinance disarrroved with hi~ objections in writing, at the next regular meeting of the Council after its passage, the Council shall proceed to consider the Mayor's objections and to act upon the same. If, upon consideration, the Council shall pass the same by a four-fifths vote of the memb8rs present, which vote shall be entered upon the records, the Ordinance shall 'then become a law. Any Ordinance which shall not bA returned to the Co ncil at the next regular meeting of the Council after its passage, snaIl become a law in like manner as if signed by the Mayor or person acting as such. Section 8. The Clerk shall keep, in consecutive order. in a book provided for thatpurpose, all ordinances enacted by the Council. Section 9. That all ordinances adopted by the Counci 1 of the .. City of Ocoee shall be promulgated by lasting the same in three (3) conspicuous places in the City of Ocoee, one ofwhich shall be the City Hall, or other place where the City Council shall hold its regular meetings, for not less than four consecutive weeks and the l' date of posting shall be noted thereon by the Clerk. Section 10. Each Ordinance shall become ,effective immediately_ when passed as provided for herein and the Charter of the City of Oaoee. Section 11. All Ordinances and parts of OccHnances in Gonflict ~. herewith are hereby repealed. Section 12. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effe~t. Section 13. All Ordinances shall be enacted in accordance with the foregoing provisions. Done in open session, at Ocoee, Orange County, Florica, this 6th day of April, 1954.
