Mayor Breeze called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. and the meeting was
opened with prayer by Reverend Pace, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
to the Flag. Present were Comm. Crawford, Lyle, Whitehead and Stinnett;
City Manager, Vignetti; City Attorney, Rhodes; and City Clerk, Gann.

Comm. Whitehead moved to accept minutes as presented, seconded Comm.Crawford.
Unanimous.
PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD DID NOT MEET
MAGUIRE ROAD RE-SURFACING - BID OPENING
Bids to resurface Maguire Road were as follows:
Orlando Paving
Southern Paving
Slemons Paving
$27,766.04
$28,644.00
$29,837.50
Comm. Crawford moved to accept the Orlando Paving bid of $27,766.04,
seconded Comm. Lyle. Unanimous.
OLD FIRE STATION BUILDING
Comm. Whitehead moved to instruct the City Manager to obtain as abstract
of the old Fire Station property, seconded Comm. Crawford. Unanimous.
Comm. Crawford instructed the City Manager to secure the old fire station
building.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION - 701 COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE FUNDS 78/79
City Manager read resolution in its entirety. Comm. Lyle moved to adopt
resolution as presented, seconded Comm. Whitehead. Comm. Lyle and Whitehead
voted yea, Comm. Crawford voted nay. Motion carried. Ordinance adopted.
FIRE PROTECTION - MAGUIRE AIRPORT - HAROLD MAGUIRE
In the absence of Mr. Maguire, Comm. Lyle moved to table, seconded Comm.
Crawford. Unanimous.
RESOLUTION - SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD - PERMISSION TO INSTALL WATER
LINE BENEATH RAILRAOD TRACKS
City Manager read resolution in its entirety. Comm. Whitehead moved to
adopt resolution as presented and to pay the $30.00 contract fee, seconded
Comm. Stinnett. Unanimous.
POLICY REGARDING BUILDING PERMITS ON APRICOT STREET
I
City Manager stated a builder wants to purchase building permits to
construct three (3) houses on Apricot Street, however the builder doesn't
feel he should come under the City Sub-division Regulations. Council
stated that in order for a builder not to comply with the sub-division
regulations he must purchase a building permit for one (1) house at a time
and obtain a final on that house before purchasing a building permit for
another house in the same development.
WORKMANS COMPENSATION INSURANCE EVALUATION - KEN ENLOW
Workmans Compensation Insurance evaluation was presented on current coverage
by Ken Enlow.
Comm. Crawford moved to appoint Ken Enlow the Insurance Agent of Record for
the City of Ocoee, seconded Comm. Lyle. Unanimous.
WEST ORANGE GIRLS CLUB - AUBREY THOMAS
Mr. Thomas came before council on behalf of the West Orange Girls Club
requesting help in obtaining water for their facilities on Story Road.
Comm. Stinnett moved to do the necessary tapping at the water main and let
the club run the line on to the FMC property, secondec Comm. Whitehead.
Unanimous.
CITY MANAGER REPORTS AND INFORMATION
II There has been no response from thE county on our request to annex SR 438.
Comm. Stinnett moved that the City Manager and Office Manager attend the
Uniform Accounting Workshop and to authorize payment of $40.00 for the
workshop fee, seconded Comm. Crawford.Unanimous.
Fire Station construction cost to date is $71,087.92.
MAYOR/COMMISSION REPORTS AND INFORMATION
Comm. Whitehead moved to instruct the City Manager to obain bids to re-
surface Flewelling Street from West Avenue to Ocoee Hills Road, seconded
Comm. Crawford. Unanimous.
City Attorney stated that the closing on the sale of the old fire station
building will be held next weet. Comm. Crawford moved to instruct the
Mayor to execute the deed on behalf of the city, seconded Comm.Whitehead.
Unanimous.
