HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 90-01 . iltsnluttnn 90-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AFFIRMING CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE WEST ORANGE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TAXING DISTRICT WHEREAS, the West Orange Memorial Hospital Taxing District was created in the early fifties to provide citizens a way to help their neighbors and to provide a base of support for those who cannot afford their own health care, and WHEREAS, the taxing district covers a 210 square mile area which includes the City of Ocoee, and WHEREAS, the tax dollars are used by the West Orange Hospital, Ambulance Services, and West Orange Manor Nursing Home, and the tax dollars collected do not cover the cost of care delivered, and WHEREAS, the growth in this area is phenomenal, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Commission to continue to provide the citizens of this area with quality health care and the comfort of emergency service that is safe and close by, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Ocoee as follows: That the Board of City Commissioners of the City reaffirms its continued support of the West Orange Hospital Taxing District. of Ocoee Memorial .
