RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee is a small municipality in Central Florida, and WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee like other small municipalities as well as some large ones does not sufficient independant finances to pave and maintain all of its streets, and WHEREAS, all of the taxes presently collected for gasoline sales in the State of Florida are ear-marked for purposes other than use by the municipalities, and . WHEREAS, the purchasers of gasoline utilize the streets and roads of this municipality, as they do others, IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED: That the legislature of the State of Florida take whatever steps are necessary to allocate one cent per gallon on all taxes collected on the sale of gasoline to be ear-marked for the use of the municipalities of the State of Florida, IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED: That this City Commission shall make its feelings known by way of this resolution and shall take such other steps as it deems proper to bring to the attention of the appropriate officials the problems as set forth herein.
