RESOLUTION OF CITY OF OCOEE
FOR TRI-CITY AIRPORT PROJECT
AND ZONING SPECIAL EXCEPTION
WHEREAS, the City of Apopka, Florida, the City of
Ocoee, Florida, and the City of Winter Garden, Florida, have
taken action to plan and establish a public airport in
cooperation with each other and through the Tri-City Airport
.
Authority, an agency of the three (3) cities;
WHEREAS, the three (3) cities in pursuit of said
project have bought substantial acreage, approximately 158
acres, situate in Section 32, T2lS, R28E, and in Sections
5 and 6, T22S, R28E, Orange County, Florida;
WHEREAS, the Tri-City Airport Authority, acting as
agent for the three (3) cities, is pursuing an application for
a Special Exception in an A-I Zone for Airplane landing field
with accessory facilities on property in the aforesaid Sections,
with a hearing presently scheduled on said application before
the County Commissioners of Orange County for January 23, 1979;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee, Florida, continues to
wholeheartedly support the said Tri-City Airport p~oject as
being in the best interest of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission
of the City of Ocoee, Florida, as follows:
That said City in its continued support of the afore-
said Tri-City Airport Project hereby asks and recommends, without
reservation, that the County Commissioners of Orange County,
Florida, grant the Application of Tri-City Airport Authority
t.
for a Special Exception in an A-I Zone for airplane landing
field with accessory facilities on property situate in Section
32, T2lS, R28Eand in Sections 5 and 6, T22S, R28E, Orange
County, Florida.
