SECOND READING:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, AMENDING
SECTIONS 2-2 AND 2-3, ENTITLED "SALARY-MAYOR"
AND "SAME-COUNCILMEN" RESPECTIVELY, OF THE
OCOEE CITY CODE TO INCREASE THE MAYOR AND
COMMISSIONERS' SALARIES; PROVIDING SEVER-
ABILITIES, CONFLICTS AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the salaries of the Mayor and Commissioners have
not been increased since 1972; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
has determined that increasing the salar ies of the Mayor and
Commissioners will more equitably compensate them for their
efforts and service to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the
City of Ocoee, Florida, that:
SECTION I.
Section 2-2 of the Code of Ordinances for the
City of Ocoee, Florida, entitled "Salary-Mayor", is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 2-2 Salary - Mayor
The annual salary of the mayor is hereby established at efte

payable in twelve (12) equal monthly installments. (Ord.

SECTION II. Section 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances for the
City of Ocoee, Florida, entitled "Same-Councilmen", is hereby
amended to read as follows:

The annual salary of each ee~fte~%meft commissioner is hereby
established at efte ~he~~eft~ ~we h~ft~re~ t$%,~99.99t, $2,400.00
payable in twelve (12) equal monthly installments.

SECTION III.
If any section or portion of this Ordinance
proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not
be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or portion of a section or sub-section or part
of this Ordinance.

SECTION IV. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION V.
This Ordinance shall take effect the date of
commencement of the terms of commissioners elected at the next
regular election, provided that such election follows the
adoption of this Ordinance by at least six months.
