AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
OCOEE, FLORIDA AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 638 SECTION 39
CODIFIED SECTION 9-11,
PROVIDING REGULATIONS TO
CONTROL ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS
AND ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION
WITHIN THE JURISDICTIONAL
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF
OCOEE, FLORIDA.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA:
Section 1.

Section 39 of Ordiance No. 638 is hereby
Section 2. Section 39 of Ordinance No. 638 henceforth
shall read: STANDARDS ADOPTED. To the extent not more
permissive than this Ordinance, there is hereby adopted by
the City for the purpose of establishing and prescribing
rules and regulations for electrical construction,
maintenance and repair within the City, those certain
standards known as:
1. National Electrical Code, NFPA No. 70-1987.
2. Chapter 10D-29 of the rules and regulations of the
Division of Health of the Department of Health and
Rehabilitative services entitled "Nursing Homes and
related facilities.
3. The minimum standards for grounding portable electric
equipment, Chapter 8AS-2 as recommended by the Indus-
trial Safety Section, Bureau of Workman's Compensa-
tion, Division of Labor, Department of Commerce.
4. Notice "I" Florida Electrical Code: Provided,
however, that with the exception of conductors for
residential and commercial services and panel feed-
ers, aluminum wire conductors shall not be installed
and used in any residential, commercial or other
structure hereafter altered, built, constructed,
erected, repaired or moved into the incoporated areas
of the City.
Section 3. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held
invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid
shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon
adoption by the Board of City Commissioners.
