Re:
. .,
Traffic Surcharge Funds
Dear Police Chief Charles J. Brown;
This letter is to :set forth the conditions by which Orange County will release those traffic
surcharge funds that had been collected under the provisions of Section 318.21 (9) Florida
Statutes prior to the termination of the Traffic Surcharge Interlocal Agreement on September
30,2008 and as authorized by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) at
the June 24, 2008 meeting. As you may recall, the BCC determined that the funds remaining
under the Intergovernmental Radio Communications Program on September 30, 2008, were
to be allocated to each city based on the amount of funds collected in each city. For Ocoee
this amount is calculated to be $78,345.10.
To comply with the requirements of the Intergovernmental Radio Communication Program
legislation, Orange County will reimburse you up to the amount listed above for equipment
purchases your city has made in support of the program. Upon receipt of a proof of purChase
and invoice, I will authorize County payment to you. Any equipment purchased will not be
required to be listed as Orange County inventory. This payment is intended to close out all
issues between the County and City 'under the Traffic Surcharge Interlocal Agreement.
Should you have any questions concerning the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Mlke~~;f--
