Home My WebLink About11-24-2009 Minutes MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING NOVEMBER 24, 2009 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Godek called the regular meeting of the Ocoee Code Enforcement Board to order at 7:01 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. Member Hopper led the Invocation and Member Sais led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The roll was called and a quorum was declared present. PRESENT: Chairman Godek, Members Alexander, Elliott, Hopper, Lowery, Sais, and Alternate Member Morton. Also present were Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler, Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, Division Chief Stanley, Administrative Assistant Ballard, Attorney Sneed, and Deputy City Clerk Sibbitt. ABSENT: Vice Chair M. Godek and Alternate Member Osborne were absent excused. GUESTS: None. Administrative Assistant Ballard administered the oath to Code Enforcement Officer Loeffler, Code Enforcement Officer Siegrist, Division Chief Stanley, and anyone intending to speak regarding a case. CONSENT AGENDA ALL MATTERS LISTED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE CONSIDERED ROUTINE BY THE CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD AND WILL BE ACTED UPON BY ONE MOTION. THERE WILL BE NO SEPARATE DISCUSSION OF THESE ITEMS UNLESS DISCUSSION IS DESIRED BY A MEMBER OF THE BOARD, IN WHICH CASE THE CHAIRMAN WILL INSTRUCT THE BOARD CLERK TO REMOVE THE ITEM FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND SUCH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY. Motion carried unanimouslv. Officer Siegrist and Officer Loeffier both shared before/after photos of properties that came into compliance without having to come before the board. Member Hopper thanked Deputy Clerk Sibbitt for all she does and also thanked the officers for their great job this year. Stated he would like to challenge the officers to take that extra step in getting the cases resolved before having them come before the board, just as they demonstrated with the before/after pictures they provided. Alternate Member Morton inquired if there were any further development or guidance that came out of the workshop meeting he missed. He further thanked Attorney Sneed for a great job.
