The meeting was called to order by Mr. Bill Breeze at 7:30 P.M.
The purpose of the meeting was to make a decision on allowing
Mr. & Mrs. Otis Pedrick to put two (2) trailers on 1i lots on
Lots 16 and Ei of Lot 15, Security Mobile Home Park. This was
denied by the Ocoee City Commission on August 12, 19 71.
Mr. and Mrs. Pedrick had changed their request from being allowed
to put the two trailers on one -and one -half lot to a temporary
time of 3 years to recover some of the expenses already incurred
by rent or selling the trailer. They had a letter signed by
several adjoining property owners stating they had no objection.
Also a letter from the Health Department giveing them permission
to put two trailers on 1 septic tank. They stated they have spent
approximately $3,500.00 and they have the permit for the power
pole and have applied for a water meter. Mr. Breeze asked what
expense they had incurred with the exception of the trailer.
The estimated about $610.00.
Mr. Breeze asked if anyone had anything to say in support of the
request. There were none. He then asked if anyone had anything
ibm to say against it. One person asked what would happen if this
were granted and then someone else wanted to do the same thing.
Mr. Breeze stated this was not the issue, that this was to rule
on the Pedrick case only.
Mr. Breeze asked for a motion on the petition as filed. Mr. Meeks
suggested we give them 60 days to try and acquire the other one -
half lot or sell their half to the adjoining owner. Mr. Breeze
stated this was not a solution to the problem.
Mr. Anzzolin made a motion to deny the petition with a temporary
time of 3 years. Mr. Rhodes seconded the motion. Anzzolin,
Rhodes, Meeks and Thomas voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Mr. Anzzolin made a motion to grant permission for a temporary time
period of 2 years. Motion died for lack of a second.
Mr. Breeze advised Mr. & Mrs. Pedrick that their petition had been
denied and if they wished to make an appeal any further they would
have to appeal to the Circuit Court. Mr. Pedrick stated he did
not think it would be worth it.
Mr. Rhodes made a motion to adjourn this meeting. Mr. Thomas
seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
