MEMBERS PRESENT: BOB STOVALL, ED BROOKLYN, RAY LAIT,MR. WURST,
CARMON HAMBY, H.M. BOWNESS, GLEN THOMAS.
The meeting was brought to order at 7:13 P.M. by the chair-
man, Mr. Bowness.
1, Wicker and Miller - Mr. Jerry Miller brought, plans for 74
effieency type apartment units to rent for short periods (week
or months). The rent will be *115 to $125 a month. The
property is zoned C -4. The construction is concrete and fire
proof. It is on SR -437. Mr. Wurst recommended the plans go
to council and Mr, Stovall seconded,
send results of council meeting to Jerry Miller, P.O. Box 10921,
Raliegh, N.C.
2, Ned Vick - Representing Ramada Inn West. they bought 29 acres
at the corner of Marshel Farm Road and Highway 50. They
want it annexed and zoned C -4. Mr. Worst motioned to accept
the request and Mr, Brooklyn seconded, Glen Thomas had some
questions, discussions were held and then the vote was taken
and passed.
3. Mr. Barker - Requesting rezoning from R -1 AAA to C -3.
Mr. Thompson made motion to go ahead and Mr. Brooklyn seconded.
The public hearing was set Nov. 14, 1972.
General discussions were held on procedures for the Planning
and Zoning Board meetings. Mr. Thomas wrote and amendment or
addition to chapter 2, Sec, 3,4 (Procedures)

E ON AGENDA. THE APPLICANT MUST HAVE COMPLETE
PLANS, MAPS, DESCRIPTIONS,.ETC_ TO BE LEFT WITH THE
BOARD. THE DATE WILL THEN FOR THE NEXT FOLLOWING
REGULAR MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION.BY THE PLANNING AND
ZONING BOARD.

A request was made by the Board for the Council to get new
maps of the city with all the new changes on. them,
Mr. Wurst made mation to adjurn and Mr. Lait seconded it and
the meeting was adjurned at 9x05 P.M.
