HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 12-12-1972 t low MINUTES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD ON DECEMBER 12, 1972. 97 MEMBERS PRESENT: Ray Lait, Ed Brooklyn, H.M. Bowness, B. Stovall, L.R. McRoberts, G. Thomas, The meeting was called to order at 7 :00 P.M. 1. Cliff Freeman came representing First Mortgage Company of Merritt Island, They are concerned with the AD Mims property, Mr. Freeman explained the old plans for the developement which were turned down, He then explained the new plans for the dev- elope. The total developement would be on 174 acres, The park (8 acres) and the rental apartments (6 acres) would stay in the same area as drawn on the old plans. Next to the rental apartments would be the condominums (8 acres). Then there would be R -1AA housing and next to this R -1AAA housing. There would be around 270 Lots, The sewage plant will have 4 acres and be built in accordance with the State Board of Health. The entrances for the developement will come off of Wurst Rd. and Lake Johio Rd,, but the exact places are not decided yet. The streets in the area will be built according to the city regulations. Mr. Wurst made the motion to recommend the council take the necessary steps to approve the new plans for zoning and annexation. Mr. Brooklyn seconded the motion and stated that they try and move the sewage plant back as far as they could. A vote was taken and it was unanimous. 2. Julco Co. came requesting zoning and annexation on the Farmer property. They want the front 500 feet zoned C -2 and the back section zoned I -1. The prop- erty is 500 by 550 feet and covers 6.6 acres. Most of the land is commercial. Mr. Thomas made the motion to get the paper wort for discussion and table it until the next meeting. The motion was passed. Mr. Lait brought up discussions on havifig diff- erent zoning in this area. He said until there are definite plans that C -1 Zoning would be best to keep the area up graded because of the potential growth of the area. Mr. Stovall made the motion to adjourn and Mr. Wurst seconded the motion, The meeting was adjourned at 8 :35 P.M.
