MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD OF THE
CITY OF OCOEE ON DECEMBER 26,1972.
MEMBERS PRESENT: L.R. McRoberts, B. Stovall,
H.M. Bowness, W.H. Wurst,
Ed Brooklyn, Ray Lait,
G. Thomas was absent.
The meeting began at 7s00 P.M. Julco Co. was the
only item on the agenda.
1. Julco Co. came requesting zoning and annexa-
tion on the Farmer property. They want the front
200 feet zoned C -1 and the rest zoned I -1.
Mr, McRoberts said if the property was split
up there would not be enough room for comfortable
use, He said the board could leave the property
agricultural until Mr. Julian had definite plans.
Mr. Lait said C -1 zoning for all the property
would give the owners a potential for building.
It was stated that there is a lot of traffic in this
area and we must be careful about accesses to the
road. Mr. Lait stated it would be better to annex
the property as C -1 because it would be more valuable
to the owners and it would protect the land value
of the shopping center and would not take away from
the Industrial Park.
Mr. Brooklyn asked if they thought Mr. Julian
would still annex the land if he could not have
both C -1 and I -1 zoning. Discussions were held on
the different types of zoning for this pro p ert .
It was recommended that since there was no
plans that the land be zoned C -1. Discussion then
held on tabling the decision until the board received
the legal discription and drawing on the property.
Mr. Wurst made the motion to table the decision
until Mr. Julian could come and discuss the property
with the board on January 9, 1973. Mr. Lait
seconded the motion, A vote was taken and the mot -
was passed.
Mr. Wurst made the motion to adjourn and Mr. Lait
seconded it. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
