April 10, 1973
MEMBERS PRESENTS Mr. Bowness, Mr. Brooklyn, Mr. Wurst,
Mr. McRoberts, Mr. Lait, and Mr. Stovall.
ABSENT: Mr. Thomas.
Meeting was called to order at 7:09 P. M. by Mr. Bowness.
1. A reprsentative came before the board from Gateway Trucking Co.
requesting to build a trucking terminal and dormitory in
West Orange Industrial Park on Enterprise Street. Plans for
construction were presented before the board at this point.
Mr. McRoberts made the motion that the plans be carried through
as recommended. Mr. Stovall seconded the motion.
2. Betty Turner came before the board with apartment plans on
Lake Bennett,location. The plans consists of 20.7 acres.
Plans also include a clubhouse, swimming pools, and a total
of 400 apartments, (one and two bedroom). Utilities would
Imp not be included in rental costs. The Zoning Board recommended that
the apartments be constructed of masonry concrete blocks.
The board discussed the traffice situation and how it would
effect the people of the community. Mr. McRoberts made the
motion to accept the plans for construction of the apartments.
Mr. Wurst seconded the motion. No nays.
Mr. Wurst made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Brooklyn
seconded the motion.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 P. M.
