Members Present: Bowness, Brooklyn, Lait, McRoberts, Stovall,
UJurst, and Thomas.
Members Absent: None.
Meeting called to order by Mr. Bowness at 7 :05 P.M.
1. Cliff Freeman came before the board with zoning within the
City. He presented the plans before the board showing area
located on Silver Star Road marked N. A. P. (not a park).
This area has been commercial for about fifteen years. Units
one and two and legal descriptions were also presented before
the board. Mr. Bowness stated that all of the property was
out of the city but brought into the city with the same zoning.
Mr. Freeman wants change of zoning on property marked N. A. P.
The ordinance reads that the property is R -T zoning for 19 acres
and commercial for remaining 200 by 200.
Mr. McRoberts suggested the property be rezoned for commercial
use. No action.
Mr. McRoberts made a motion to set a date for a public hearing.
Mr. Lait seconded the motion. Motion carried. Public hearing
date was set for the 22nd day of May. No nays.
2. Mr. Charles Sullivan came before the board wanting approval on
plans. He presented pictures of warehouse before the board.
The L & M Building is 76 feet wide and 120 feet long. The last
assessment was '110,000.00. Property was zoned industrial.
Mr. McRoberts made a motion for the recommendation to the
council. Mr. Stovall seconded the motion., Motion carried.

3. Maurice Hazen came before the board with a request for a change
of zoning from R -3 to C -3. The property falls in the classifi-
cation for a convenience store. Mr. Brooklyn suggested that
Mr. Hazen make an application for public hearing on the 22nd
day of May. Mr. Lait seconded the motion. Motion was not
carried since Mr. Hazen stated that he had two more prospects
for the property and that he may be able to get a better deal
through either Burger Chef or Pizza Hut. The board agreed
and stated that Mr. Hazen check on the two prospects before
making his request. No nays.
Mr. !!'urst made a motion to adjourn the meetino. Mr. Brooklyn
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8 :30 P.M.
