HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 06-12-1973 MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA ON JUNE 12, 1973. PRESENT: H.M. Bowness, Ed Brooklyn, Ray Lait, B.E. Stovall, N.H. UJurst. ABSENT: L.R. mcRobert and Glen Thomas. The meeting was brought to order at 7:20 P.M. by £0r. Bowness. 1. A representative of Kent Tyus came with plans for his nevi apart- ments on Orlando Ave. The plans have been approved by the state and the county and the health dent. There will be 60 units, the buildings will be 3 stories high, each apartment will be 1100 sq, feet and all will have picture windows facing the lake. General discussion held. There is some question on the zoning of the property. Some feel it is R -3 and others feel that the zonino was changed when the new zoning ordinance became effective. Mr. Lait made the motion to deny the building nermit because of density in the area and because he felt that there should be a public hearing on the matter. motion died because of the lack of a second. £(r. Wurst made the motion to send the matter back to Council and the City manager for a decision because Mr. Fait objected and Mr. Stovall obstained from voting and two members were not oreeent. Mr. !UJurst, Mr. Bowness, and Mr. Brooklyn were for the issuino of the oermit. No decision for or against issuing the oermit was made. I 2. Sam Holland came before the board asking for the change of zoning_ of two nieces of property: Lot 9 and North 87 feet of Lot 10, Block 4, in Ocoee. This to be changed from R1AA to C -1 and lot 8 and North 87 feet of lot 11 (less the W 20 feet of lot 8 and less the !.Jest 20 feet of lot 11), Block4, to be changed from R1AA to I -1. The I -1 change will be for a Plumbing warehouse and C -1 change will be for office buildings. Mr. Nurst made the mtion to have a public hearing on July 10, 1973 at 7 P.M.
