HELD DECEMBER 11, 1973
Members Present: Bowness, Brooklyn, Lait, McRobert, Thomas
and Schmoldt.
Members Absent: Carter.
The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order by
Mr. Bowness at 7:03 P. M.
1. Charles Tillman came before the board requesting a variance for
nrooerty located on Palm Drive which is presently zoned R1 -AAA.
Plans for the house to be built on said property were presented.
After much discussion, the members of the board suggested granting
a variance orovided that the legal descriotion of the property
be presented before the board. Vote unanimous.
2. Mr. Jeff Fuqua came before the board with his plans for Spring-
dale Annexation and Zoning. Plans for building of the subdivision
were presented for preliminary approval. There was much discussion
on drainage, paving and annexing of Peters Road.
Mr. McRobert motioned to grant preliminary approval of plans.
Mr. Brooklyn seconded the motion. Motion carried. No nays.
3. Mr. Joe Bishop from Carrier Air Conditioning came before the
board requesting a variance for property located on 850 Maguire
Boulevard across from the Roper Ranch for the building of a
warehouse. Mr. Bishop indicated that he had been notified that
the building which was already in progress did not meet the orooer
setback requirements and that he needed a variance that would allow
him to continue his business.
The board discussed setback, annexation and zoning of the property.
The members of the board asked Mr. Bishop to present a certified
property description before the board showing that the setback
is three feet. Mr. Bishop stated that he would bring the certi-
fication for presentation before the board. Mr. Thomas made a
motion to grant a variance to continue construction of the ware-
house. Tr. McRobert seconded the motion. Motion carried. No nays.

4. mr. Zick Evans came before the board for preliminary approval
of plans for duplex housing on oroperty located on the north-
east side orlAurst Road. Mr. fcRobert motioned to approve
the olot plans and hold orEn negot5iltion 'or pavirg of Adair.
mr. Thomas seconded the motion. motion carried. No nays.
5. !fir. Blackburn came before the board with an affidavit on lots
1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Seegar Sub - Division. The affidavit indicated
that mr. Blackburn only owns lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of said oronerty.
The board members told Mr. Blackburn that he would need to have
the Property Petitioned for rezoning and have a Public hearing,
nroviding that he would record the affidavit.
mr. mcRobert made the motion to adjourn. Mr. Brooklyn seconded the
motion. Being no further business, meeting adjourned at 8:55 P. M.
