PRESENT: Mr. Lait, Mr. Brooklyn, Mr. Bowness, Mr. Carter,
and Mr. Caldwell, mr. Thomas and Irr. mcRobert.
ABSENT None
Adjustment Board members where present also to discuss
Joe Bishop's property with the Zoning Board.
1. The meeting began at 7 :05 D.M. The public hearing for Charles
Coffman - Petition 73 -10 - Rezoning from R1 to R3 - lots 15 -20,
Seegar Subdivision was held. Mr. Bowness asked if there were any
objections. There were three. Charles Branir of 712 Lyman Ave.,
Albert Childs of 618 N. Lakewood Ave. and Lee Alligood of 623
N. Lakewood. They felt the apartments would not have a good effect
on the neighborhood. There was a general discussion on the apts.
They would rent for 5150.00 and up. There were no yeas' from the
floor. The objections were discussed. The plans were discussed
tw also. There will be a two story building consisting of 18 ants.
38 ft. back from Lakewood and 30 ft. back from Charles St.
Mr. Coffman stated that there would be sufficient parking area
and a playground for the children. Mr. Carter made the motion
to accept the rezoning petition seconded by Mr. Brooklyn.
Mr. Lait amended motion to include the 50 ft. setback from the
center line of Lakewood. No objections. Unanimous vote to reco-
mmend rezoning to Council.
2. Joe Bishop came to find out what to do about his property. The
Zoning Board and Adjustment Board discussed the matter and decided
it would be best for him to go before the Adjustment Board and
request a variance. Mr. Thomas made the motion for Mr. Bishop
to request a variance and go before the Adjustment Board. Mr.
Lait seconded the motion. No objections. motion Carried. The
Public hearing will be Jan. 22 at 7P.m.
1 Charles Tillman - Tr. Bowness represented Mr. Tillman and told the
Roard that Tr. Tillman wanted to build a smaller house on his property
than required for RIAAA zoning. Discussion held. Mr. Bowness was
asked to tell Tr. Tillman to make an application for change of zon-
ing to R1A.

!r. Carter made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Lait.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
