HELD FEBRUARY 12, 1974
Members Present: Bowness, Brooklyn, Lait, Turner, IvicRobert,
Carter and Thomas.
Lembers Absent: None.
The Meeting the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order by
1r. Bowness at 7:30 P. M.
1. Ellen Larson came before the board requesting permission to
put a trailer on the back lot of her property on 216 Rewis St.
(350 feet by 70 feet) for her daughter, Margaret Barrett.
Nrs. Barrett indicated that this would be a permanent install-
ation.
Mr. Bowness stated that the property would have to be rezoned
from its present R -1A zoning in order to comply with the zoning
code or a use permit could be granted upon review every six ._
months.
The board told Mrs. Larsen that if she put a house on the lot
that the property would not have to be rezoned. I'vIrs. Larson
decided to further study the matter before reaching any definite
decision.
2. There was a discussion held regarding the board's proposed
rezoning of the Griffin property. A public hearing was held
October 9, 1973 regarding this proposal, known as Petition 73 -9.
The proposal was recommended to the Council. The Council
returned the proposal to the board. The board members request
reasons for the proposal's return.
1'. Carter motioned to adjourn. Mr. Thomas seconded the motion.
Being no further business, meeting adjourned at $:45 P. M.
