ABSENT: None
NEW
Meeting was called to order at 7:40 P. M. by Chairman Bowness. The reading of
the minutes of the previous meeting was postponed until later in the meeting.
1. RICHARD GARDNER came before the Board requesting permission to put a mobile
home (for himself and one other to live in) immediately behind his place of business,
R & L Market, located on Highway 50, (previously known as A & H Produce). The market
• is an open -air type with only minimal security provided by a fence, and he intends to
live there to discourage burglars.
Mr. Turner called the Board's attention to Pages 76 -77 Section 3, Paragraph 6 of
the Zoning Regulations, noting that "Usage permitted on review" might be a solution.
Mr. McRobert stated that he felt the Board should let Mr. Gardner know that they
did not object to his placing a trailer on the property.
Mr. Thomas suggested that the Board require a plat plan showing legal description
and proposed placing of trailer (or new structure) in relation to existing features
on the property. Although no formal vote was taken at this time, the members were
in agreement with Mr. Thomas's suggestion.
Chairman Bowness requested of Mr. Gardner that he return in two weeks to the
next regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board, February 10, 1976, with the
above recommended plat plan for the Board's consideration. Mr. Gardner agreed to
comply.
