M. by Mr. Peck presiding in the absence of Chairman Bowness. I. Joe C. Crews appeared before the board representing M. S. Curry's request for changing the zoning on Franklin Street (Subd. F, Lots 37, 38, 39) from R -1 to commercial for small rural business purposes. Mr. Peck suggested that Mr. Crews file an application for change to C -1 or C -2 zoning in order that a hearing date could be set for said property. II. C. R. Emmons, representative for the owner of Ramada Inn appeared before the board inquiring about the type of zoning needed to convert the Ramada Inn Hotel into a retirement and nursing home. Mr. Emmons explained that it would be similar to apartments except that those living in the home would be served one meal a day. Mr. McRobert stated that said ex- ception would classify it as a Health Care Facility. Mr. Peck said it would be classified as an apartment -hotel and since the property is zoned C -2 there is no need to change the zoning and everything is in order already. III. Further discussion was brought up on the M. S. Curry property. The Zoning Board feels that all of Franklin Street should be zoned commercial to prevent spot zoning. Mr. Peck recessed meeting for five minutes. Meeting called back to order at 8:40 P. M. The board decided to delay any further action on Curry property until application is made. Mr. McRobert moved to adjourn. Carter seconded. Being no further busi- ness, meeting adjourned at 8:45 P. M. Respectfully submitted, C C1.1 cLti ww Esther L. Fannin Deputy Clerk
