HELD JULY 26, 1977
PRESENT: Bowness, Carter, Lait, Hall, Brooklyn, McRobert, Kennedy
ABSENT: Thomas
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Chairman Bowness.
I. Public Hearing for Petition 77 -1, Zoning Change on M. S. Curry Property
Rev. Joe Crews, representative for Mr. Curry appeared before the Board
and presented plans for said property.
Mr. Bowness asked for comments from the audience. Mr. and Mrs. Hataway
of 141 Lyle St. were present. Mr. Hataway commented that he would like
for the property to remain residential and if changed to commercial pre-
ferred it be kept separate from the residential by some means. Mr. Bowness
told Mr. Hataway that the zoning ordinance requires a separation by means
of walls, fences or screens in cases as such where a C -1 district abuts the
lot line of a residential district.
Mr. Carter moved to recommend to Council that said property be zoned C -1.
Mr. Lait seconded. Vote unanimous.
II. Minutes of the meeting held July 12, 1977 were submitted. Mr. Hall
moved that the second to the last line in the last paragraph of the first
page be corrected to spell Mark instead of Marc and to accept minutes as
submitted with said change. Mr. Lait seconded. Vote unanimous.
III. Mr. John Timbes of 604 Palomas, Communications Editor for Bell Tele-
phone and Electrical Contractor appeared before the Board in reference to
the Planning and Zoning Board's notice in the Winter Garden Times for the
opening created by Frank Turner's resignation. Mr. Timbes indicated his
interest in being a part of the Board.
Mr. Hall moved to adjourn. Mr. Kennedy seconded. Being no further business,
meeting adjourned at 8:20 P. M.
