i m HELD DECEMBER 27, 1977
PRESENT: Bownesss, Brooklyn, McRobert, Carter and Lait
ABSENT: Kennedy, Thomas, Timbes, Hall
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Chairman Bowness.
I. Steve Frazier appeared before the Board requesting informa-
tion for operating a guest home for elderly people located at
225 Franklin Street.
Mr. Frazier indicated that this home was not the same as a
nursing home which requires on duty doctors and nurses to admin-
ister medical aid, but a private home for senior citizens to live.
The home is presently licensed by the State and County and regu-
lated by the ACLF (Aging Congregate Living Facility).
The Board recommended that Mr. Frazier apply for a change of
zoning from R -1 to C -1 and make application for a Use Permitted
on Review.
Mr. Lait moved that the Board obtain an opinion from the City
Attorney as to whether or not both hearings could be held at the
same time under one notice with one fee. Mr. McRobert seconded.
Vote unanimous. Mr. Lait suggested that after City Attorney
renders requested opinion that the Building Inspector inform
Mr. Frazier of said opinion so Mr. Frazier can proceed as desired.
II. Jeff Fuqua presented a preliminary plat for South Springdale
Replat before the Board for approval.
Mr. Lait moved to recommend to Council to accept South Springdale
Replat per drawings stipulating park area be deeded to the City.
Mr. Brooklyn seconded. Vote unanimous.
III. Mr. McRobert moved to accept minutes of meeting held 14
December 77. Mr. Lait seconded. Vote unanimous. Mr. Brooklyn
moved to adjourn. Mr. Lait seconded. Being no further business,
meeting adjourned at 8:45 P. M.
