ABSENT: BROOKLYN, KENNEDY
CALL TO ORDER
Public Hearing for Petition 78 -3 was called to order at 7:33 P. M.
by Chairman Bowness.
PETITION 78 -3
Mr. Dennis Broadaway came before the board representing his family,
owners of Indian Lake Fruit Company, and Grafton, Inc., owners of Lots 29 and 30,
Sims Subdivision (110 and 112 Taylor Street), to request a change of zoning
from R -1 to I -2 on that property. The Broadaways intend to purchase the property,
raze the existing buildings and erect a Butler building 80' x 40' to house their
maintenance department.
There was one objector in the audience of three citizens.
Mr. Timbes moved to recommend to council to change the zoning as requested,
seconded by Mr. McRobert. Unanimous in favor.
MINUTES ACCEPTED
Mr. McRobert moved to accept the minutes of the previous meeting,
seconded by Mr. Carter. Unanimous in favor.
ADJOURNMENT
Meeting adjourned at 7:55 P. M.
NOTE
After adjournment Mr. Lait gave informal report to board on open forum
held for Sleepy Harbor residents May 4, 1978.
Mr. Timbes is scheduling an open forum for residents of Prima Vista,
Sleepy Harbor Condominium, and Orlando Avenue later in May.
