HELD MARCH 27, 1979
Present: Bowness, Rodgers, Hager, Carter, Lait, Brooklyn, Timbes
Thomas, Busch (alt.)
Absent: McRobert
Also present in the audience were: Cecil Hurst, Building
Inspector; Walter Kuhrt, Engineer; Gordon Ward, Builder's Super-
intendent, Jeff Fuqua, Land Developer and (18) interested citizens.
Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Chairman Bowness.
Petition 79 -2, Request for Rezoning from R -1A & R -1AA to R -1 & R -1A-
Twin Lakes Manor
Mr. Walter Kuhrt, Engineer was present in behalf of said petition.
Mr. Kuhrt briefed citizens on present zoning and proposed change. A
majority of the citizens present were opposed to the rezoning requested.
Also, a petition was presented before the Board with 57 names of citi-
zens against zoning change.
Mr. Bowness asked if there were any comments from the Board.
Mr. Rodgers, Timbes and Lait were against zoning as drawn. Mr. Timbes
stated that the zoning should be upgraded. Mr. Lait moved to recommend
to the Council to deny Petition 79 -2, seconded by Mr. Timbes. Mr. Busch,
Rogers, Hager, Brooklyn, Thomas voted yea. Mr. Carter voted nay. Motion
carried.
Minutes Accepted
Mr. Rodgers moved to accept minutes of the 701 Comprehensive Plan
Public Hearing held March 14, 1979. Mr. Carter seconded. Vote unanimous.

Meeting adjourned at 8:45 P. M.
