HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 07-26-1979 MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING HELD JULY 26, 1979 Present: Brooklyn, Hager, Lait, Sanders, Thomas Absent: Aho, Magill, McRobert, Rodgers CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order at 7:46 P. M. by Mr. Thomas in the commission chambers. MINUTES ACCEPTED Upon a motion by Mr. Sanders and second by Mr. Brooklyn, members voted unanimously to accept minutes of the July 10, 1979 meeting as written. 701 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Mr. Rick Anderson, Briley, Wild & Associates, explained that he had sent a copy of the proposed 701 Comprehensive Plan to Jim Sayes, Local Government Assistance Specialist, for review and upon receiving Mr. Sayes' critique had revised certain areas which he had prepared in written form for the Board to examine. After examination of the plan, Board raised a question regarding table 5 -4 "Allocation of Assisted and Nonassisted Housing." Mr. Anderson ad- vised that the table is necessary in order to satisfy 701 requirements but could be specifically excluded when the time comes for formal adoption to prevent its becoming a local rule. Other areas of the revisions were found to be satisfactory. ""' Mr. Lait moved to accept the changes and additions as presented by Mr. Anderson. Mr. Brooklyn seconded and vote was unanimous in favor. Mr. Anderson will have the chapters on recreation, solid waste, water/ sewer, and electric power ready in several weeks to present to Board. ADJOURNMENT Meeting adjourned at 8:31 P. M.
