HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 01-12-1982 MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING HELD JANUARY 12, 1982 PRESENT: BREEZE, COLELLA, BROOKLYN, THOMAS, AHO, MAGILL, LAHDE I mo ABSENT: YOUNT, SANDERS CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Acting Chairman Breeze in the commission chambers. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN Mr. Brooklyn moved that Mr. Breeze be nominated Chairman of The Planning and Zoning Board, seconded by Mr. Aho. Mr. Thomas moved to close nomination for Chairman, seconded by Mr. Aho. Vote was unanimous in favor. Mr. Thomas moved that Mr. Brooklyn be nominated Vice Chairman of The Planning and Zoning Board, seconded by Mr. Aho. Vote was unanimous in favor. MINUTES OF OCTOBER 13, 1981 APPROVED Mr. Aho moved that the minutes of October 13, 1981 be approved as read, seconded by Mr. Lande. Vote was unanimous in favor. PETITION 82 -1 - PUBLIC HEARING - H. D. MAGUIRE - PROPERTY AT BLUFORD AND OAKLAND Mr. Magill and Mr. Colella abstained from discussion and voting due to personal interests. Mr. Maguire introduced buyer Anthony Catadela. Mr. Catadela proceded to explain he intended to turn the Maguire property into professional offices keeping the historic appearance of the Maguire property. Mr. Thomas moved to recommend to the City Commission to approve the concurrent change in the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Zoning from R1AA to PS, seconded by Mr. Aho. Aho, Breeze, Brooklyn, Lande, and Thomas voted yea. No nay votes. Mr. Colella and Mr. Magill abstained from voting. REQUEST TO CHANGE ZONING FROM C3 TO R3 ON PROPERTY ON OLD WINTER GARDEN ROAD - RED FOLSOM Chairman Breeze advised Mr. Folsom that even though the Board's opinion may be favorable in changing the zoning from C3 to R3 on the property behind Village Market Place and Scotties on Old Winter Garden Road, that the Board can not make a recommendation or vote without a petition. Chairman Breeze, on the Board's behalf, welcomed Mr. Colella as a new member.
