HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 09-18-1984 MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 18, 1984 PRESENT: Breeze, Bateman, Colella, Lande, Sanders, Smith; City Planner Elwell ABSENT: Busch, Brooklyn, Swickerath CALL TO ORDER Chairman Breeze called the meeting to order at 7:44 P.M. and dispensed with the invocation and pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES- MEETING AUGUST 14 and WORKSHOP AUGUST 28, 1984 Chairman Breeze announced that the minutes for August 14 meeting had been hand carried to, and approved by, a majority of the quorum present at that meeting. Upon a motion by Mr. Sanders and second by Mr. Smith minutes of the August 28 workshop were approved as written. ANNEXATION REQUEST - PORTIONS OF SECTION 17, TWP 22, RANGE 28 EAST, (NE4)- HARPER Emmett Harper requests annexation of parcels fronting on Silver Star Road and Ocoee Hills Road, those parcels being described as follows: Portions of Section 17, Township 22 South, Range 28 East (NE4) Parcels 65,79, 85, 48, 01032, and Lot 6 Block B of Hillcrest Heights Petitioner requests C -2 zoning for these parcels upon annexation. Chairman Breeze noted that at least one of the lots was only 50' and unpaved streets with no water lines were involved, therefore he recommended annexing only those lots that were contiguous to each other. Mr. Elwell pointed out that the county zoning for subject parcels is R -1 instead of the C -1 as stated in petition, and that petitioner would have to accept the nearest city zoning unless or until a waiver was requested from and granted by the county for different zoning. Mr. Smith moved to recommend to Commission to annex Parcels 48, 85 and 79 and not to annex Parcels 65, 01032 and Lot 6 Block B Hillcrest Heights. Mr. Sanders seconded and vote was unanimous in favor. BOARD REQUESTS CHANGE IN FORMS AND PROCEDURES USED Chairman Breeze requested that the petition forms be revised and that the person responsible for accepting petitions use a check list to be sure that information needed for processing requests is accurate and available. He also requested that only one unit of land be considered per petition.
