HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ 12-08-1987 Harr MINUTES OF THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 8, 1987 Meeting called to order 7:35 pm. by Chairman Swickerath. PRESENT: Chairman Swickerath, Vice - Chairman Smith, Board Members Bello, Bond, Switzer, Sanders, Planning Director Wagner, Assistant Planner Rivera and Development Secretary Beaman. ABSENT: Alternates Breeze and Weeks. APPROVAL The following correction was made to the December 8, 1987 Meeting. Board Member Switzer was not present at Meeting; was absent. Vice - Chairman Smith moved to approve the minutes of December 8, 1987 as amended, Pat Bello seconded and motion carried unanimously. DISCUSSION OF PLANNING ISSUES This Meeting was held as an informal meeting to generally discuss items of interest to the Board that are not normally brought up in a regular meeting. An agenda was set although discussion does not necessarily follow same. Board Member Linebarier opened discussion requesting an update on the PUD Ordinance and asked if there was a provision for it to come back to the Board after changes were made. Planning Director Wagner advised no action had been taken on the Ordinance. Planning Director Wagner passed out copies of a recent Development Review Committee Report (DRC Report) to the Board Members. Discussion was held reference the heavy growth rate that the City was experiencing, wherein staff could not keep up with. Chairman Swickerath asked Planning Director Wagner whether the position of Engineer for the City had been addressed; Planning Director advised that no action has been taken to date. After review of the DRC Report Board Member Linebarier requested information reference Glad Tidings Assembly of God; Planning Director Wagner gave a review of the history of the site plan. An example of a red lined plan was shown to the Board and discussion was held on the procedures of plan review from a staff standpoint. Chairman Swickerath requested information on the storm drainage for Discount Auto Parts as he had some interests in that area of ` town and requested a copy of the Lake Lilly Water study submitted by PEC.
