HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-25-01 Minutes SS MINUTES OF THE OCOEE CITY COMMISSION SPECIAL SESSION HELD JUNE 25, 2001 Mayor Vandergrift called the City Commission Special Session to order at 7:08 p.m. in the Commission Chambers. The roll was called and a quorum declared present. PRESENT: Mayor Vandergrift, Commissioners Anderson, Johnson and Parker. Also present were City Attorney Rosenthal, Assistant City Attorney Doty, City Manager Gleason and Deputy City Clerk Whitford. ABSENT: Commissioner Howell (contacted by phone during closed session). Mayor Vandergrift announced that the Commission would be attending a Closed Session with City Attorney Rosenthal, Assistant City Attorney Doty, City Manager Gleason, the Court Reporter from Verbatim Transcripts, and no others regarding settlement negotiations and strategy related to litigation expenditures in Orange County Circuit Court Case No. CI-00l-303 - City of Ocoee vs. Cortez, et al. He said it was estimated that the attorney-client session would last forty-five minutes. Following the conclusion of the attorney-client session, the meeting would be reopened in order to announce the termination of the closed session and take such other action as the City Commission may deem appropriate. At 7:11 p.m. Mayor Vandergrift announced that the City Commission would move into closed seSSIOn. RECONVENE PUBLIC MEETING FOR ACTION ON ABOVE ISSUE Mayor Vandergrift reopened the Special Session and announced the closed attorney-client session had been terminated, and announced the time to be 8:50 p.m. Mayor Vandergrift announced a consensus had been reached and direction given to the Attorneys during the closed session. Mayor Vandergrift stated if there were no comments the meeting was adjourned. There were no comments. The meeting was adjourned at 8:51 p.m. Attest:
