Subject: Resolution amending and replacing Resolution No. 2010 -014 providing a fee
structure for the Ocoee Parks and Recreation Department for participation in recreation
programs, classes, activities and events, rental of city facilities, memberships, and usage fees.
Background Summary:
On October 5, 2010, the City Commission approved a comprehensive schedule of fees for the use of the City's
parks and recreational facilities, and for participation in recreation programs, classes, activities and events, for
memberships, and for the use of the swimming pool.
The Parks and Recreation Department has completed a review of all fees for parks, facilities, programs, and
memberships; and is recommending adjustments to several of the fees. All of the proposed fee adjustments
have been identified in the attached Schedule A.
Furthermore the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board reviewed the proposed fee schedule and recommended
the proposed fee schedule to the City Commission for consideration.
Issue:
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission approve the revised fee schedule for the Parks and
Recreation Department.

RESOLUTION NO. 2011-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA
AMENDING AND REPLACING RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -014;
PROVIDING A FEE STRUCTURE FOR THE OCOEE PARKS
AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN
RECREATION PROGRAMS, CLASSES, ACTIVITIES AND
EVENTS, RENTAL OF CITY FACILITIES, MEMBERSHIPS, AND
USAGE FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 5, 2010, the City of Ocoee adopted a fee structure for the use of
the City's parks and recreation facilities, participation in recreation programs, classes,
activities and events, memberships, and use of the swimming pool; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee wishes to amend and replace the adopted fee structure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Commission of the City of Ocoee hereby amends and replaces
the fee structure for the Parks and Recreation Department with underline identifying new
fess and language, in accordance with the attached schedule.
SECTION 2. Severabilitv. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this Resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court
of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and
independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portion hereto.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective on October 4,
2011.

Home Owner Associations (HOA) may have the fee waived for the use of a meeting room one time per quarter on a
calendar basis. Any HOA wanting to use a meeting room more than one time per quarter in a calendar year will be
required to pay the regular rental rate for the room. HOA's must meet the criteria noted below in order to qualify for
any fee to be waived.
1. The HOA is located within the City of Ocoee.
2. The HOA does not have a meeting room or area within the development to conduct meetings.
3. The duration of use does not exceed four (4) hours.
4. The use is Monday through Thursday.

Recreation and Athletic Programs Notes:
1. Before and After School, Summer Day Camp, and Holiday Program fees are based on a per week basis. All
fees must be paid one week in advance or a $10.00 late fee per child will be assessed.
2. The fee for any Non - School Camp Day will be a prorated daily fee, based upon the cost of the summer
camp fee.
3. Elected City officials, City appointed board members, city employees will have fee waived for the fitness
room.
4. The adult non - resident fee will be applied to each adult recreation program an individual elects to
participate in.
5. Participants in any Youth Sport Partnership (Little League, Pop Warner Football, Ocoee Youth Soccer
Association, and All -Stars Soccer), residing outside the Ocoee city limits, shall be required to pay a fee for
their participation.
6. Daily Open Gym Basketball and Volleyball fees; monthly and daily Fitness Room fees; Youth Dance fees;
Special Event fees; and non - residents player fees are not refundable.
7. Programs conducted by an independent instructor under a contractual agreement shall be required to
make monthly payments based upon the following enrollment guidelines. For programs with 24 or fewer
participants, the instructor shall be required to submit 20% of all fees collected; and for programs with 25
or more participants, the instructor shall be required to submit 30% of all fees collected.

recreation facilities and community facilities, with the approval of the City Manager.
