Background Summary:
Members of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board serve two -year terms. Currently, the Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board has eight (8) members and no applications on file.
The two -year terms of Carol Heard, Rob McKey, and Jane Rainer will end October 2012. All members have
indicated they are willing to serve another two -year term, if reappointed. From 2011 -2012, Member Heard has
attended 9 of 11 meetings, Member McKey has attended 9 of 11 meetings, and Member Rainer has attended 5 of
11 meetings.
Issue:
Should Carol Heard, Rob McKey, and Jane Rainer be reappointed to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board to
serve another two -year term ending October 2014?
Recommendations
Staff recommends that the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners reappoint Carol Heard, Rob McKey, and
Jane Rainer to serve another two -year term on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board.
