VNE RE' , (!Everyday, our Nation's dedicated law enforcement officer's put
themselves at risk to keep their fellow Americans safe. These men and
women from the largest cities to our quiet communities here in Orange
County selflessly risk their lives to protect our families against crime; and
�Y�IERE.�S' As Ocoee observes Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week, we
pay tribute to the courageous men and women who wear the badge and
keep the peace; and
7V-9&.R- ,, 7.aw enforcement officers of today carry on the long and proud tradition
of service built by their predecessors with valor and distinction, they stand
watch over us all and work hard to fight crime and violence; and
l aw enforcement officers deserve our appreciation for the work they do,
which is to help people on a daily basis; and
VWE' XE-, . , en Peace Officers Memorial Day and during Police Week, Ocoee honors
the heroism of all our law enforcement officers, especially those who have
given their lives so others might live; and
3'Y.9ERT -4 S, Ehey have performed their jobs with extraordinary distinction, and we
will always remember their service and sacrifice. We ask God's blessings
for the families and friends they left behind.

proclaim May 12 -18, 2013 as National Police Week and May 15, 2013 as

a better and more secure future for our children and grandchildren.
