RESOLUTION NO. 2006-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA
CHANGING THE NAME OF PROFESSIONAL PARKWAY
TO OLD WINTER GARDEN ROAD AND THE NAME OF A
PORTION OF OLD WINTER GARDEN ROAD TO SOUTH
BLUFORD AVENUE; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PROVIDE NOTICE OF SAME TO CERTAIN PARTIES;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the name Professional Parkway is the legal name of a that certain
street in the City of Ocoee, Florida located between Maguire Road and Blackwood Drive, as
generally depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof
("Professional Parkway"); and
WHEREAS, the name Old Winter Garden Road is the legal name of a portion of
that certain street in the City of Ocoee, Florida located between Professional Parkway and West
Colonial Drive (State Road 50), as generally depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by
this reference made a part hereof ("Existing Old Winter Garden Road"); and
WHEREAS, the City desires to change the name of Professional Parkway to
"Old Winter Garden Road;" and
WHEREAS, the City desires to change the name of Existing Old Winter Garden
Road to "South Bluford Avenue."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Authority. The City Commission of the City of Ocoee has the authority to
adopt this resolution pursuant to Article VIII of the Constitution of the State of Florida and
Chapter 166, Florida Statutes.

Section 2. RenamiD!!: of Professional Parkwav. The name of Professional Parkway is
hereby renamed and designated as "OLD WINTER GARDEN ROAD," as generally depicted on
Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.

Section 3. Renamine; of a Portion of Old Winter Garden Road. The name of Existing
Winter Garden Road is hereby renamed and designated as "SOUTH BLUFORD AVENUE," as
generally depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
Section 4. Further Acts~ Notice. The City Commission of the City of Ocoee hereby
authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute any documents that may be necessary to
effectuate the designations referenced in Sections 3 and 4 above. Without limiting the forgoing,
the City Clerk is hereby directed to provide notice of the adoption of this resolution to all
affected property owners, the United State Postal Service, the Orange County Property
Appraiser's Office, the Orange County Tax Collector's Office and Orange County Emergency
Services.
Section 5. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of
this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
Section 6. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective as of February 1,
2006.
