Mayor Freeman called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and the meeting
was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Present were Comm.
Lyle, Hager, Stinnett and Whitehead; City Manager, Vignetti; City Attorney,
Rhodes; and City Clerk, Gann.

Comm. Hager moved to approve the minutes as presented, seconded Comm.
Stinnett. Unanimous.
25 MARCH 80 ZONING BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Minutes of the Planning & Zoning Board meeting held 25 March 80 were read
into the record for information only.
ORDINANCE - ZONING CHANGE -R1AA TO P.S.- CORTEZ PROPERTY- S.W.CORNER OF BLUFORD
OR LANDO AVENUE -2ND READING - PUBLIC HEARING
Comm. Hager moved that title only of the ordinance be read, seconded
Comm. Whitehead. Unanimous. City Manager read ordinance by title only.
No one wished to speak for or against the adoption of the ordinance.
Comm. Stinnett moved to adopt the ordinance as presented, seconded Comm.
Hager. Unanimous.
ORDINANCE- ANNEXATION -40 ACRES NORTH OF FOX FIRE SUBDIVISION -1ST READING -
ORDINANCE- ZONING -40 ACRES NORTH OF FOX FIRE SUBDIVISION -1ST READING
TO BE ZONED R1 = N.W.a OF N.W.- OF THE N.E.a
TO BE ZONED R3= S.W.4 OF N.W.4 OF THE N.E.a

Comm. Hager moved that the annexation and zoning ordinance be read by title
only, seconded Comm. Stinnett. Unanimous. City Manager read both ordinances
by title only. Public Hearing and second reading of both ordinances will
be held on 6 May 80.
ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE "701" COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN -1ST READING -1ST
PU BLIC HEARING
Comm. Hager moved that the ordinance be read by title only, seconded
Comm. Lyle. Unanimous. City Manager read the ordinance by title only.
No one wished to speak for or against the ordinance.
REQUEST TO VACATE & ABANDON 5' UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN LOTS 115 & 116
IN TWIN LAKES 1ST ADDITION -BILL GOODMAN
Mr. Goodman stated that the construction superintendent had laid out the
house on lot 116 too close to the side lot line and the house is in the
easement line and he was requesting that the 5' utility easement between
lots 115 & 116 be vacated and abandoned in order to meet the necessary
set back requirements. Comm. Lyle moved to grant the request, seconded
Comm. Hager. Unanimous.

APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE TO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
Mayor recommended appointing Ralph Rodgers as Alternate for the Board of
Adjustments. Council agreed.
LITTLE LEAGUE BALLFIELD -BOB SORENSON
Mr. Sorenson requested permission to construct an additional little league
field adjacent to the existing field. Mr. Sorenson also presented council
with a list of requirements (see attached) needed in constructing a new
field. Comm. Lyle moved to designate the area for the additional ball
field and to work out the requirements as they are needed, seconded Comm.
Whitehead. Unanimous.
REPORTS /INFORMATION /CITY MANAGER /MAYOR /COMMISSIONERS
Public Service Commission Hearing regarding sewer rates in the Industrial
Park will be held 9:30 A.M., 9 April 80 in the State Office Building.
Comm. Stinnett moved to pay Bennett Trucking $45,626 for sanitation packer
from Federal Revenue Sharing Fund, seconded Comm. Whitehead. Unanimous.
Comm. Lyle requested that the city waive the fee of a yard sale to be held
19 April 80 for the United Methodist Church. Comm. Whitehead moved to
waive the fee, seconded Comm. Stinnett. Unanimous.
AUDIENCE
Mr. Loomis requested that council consider changing the classification for
Funeral Homes from Commercial zoning to something more appropriate. Council
agreed to take it under advisement.
