MINUTES OF THE OCOEE CITY COMMISSION MEETING HELD DECEMBER 1,1981
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Freeman called the regular meeting of Ocoee City Commission to order at 7:30 p.m.
. ~ in commission chambers and led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Commissioners Whitehead, Hager, Stinnett; City Attorney Rhodes,
City Manager Vignetti; and Clerk Poling.
Absent was Comm. Lyle.
NOVEMBER 17, 1981 Minutes Approved
Motion was made by Comm. Whitehead seconded by Comm. Hager to approve the November 17
Minutes as read. Vote was unanimous.
PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD DID NOT MEET.
PRESENTATION OF PLAQUE TO MRS. LEON MCROBERT
Mayor Freeman presented a plaque to Mrs. Leon McRobert in remembrance of her husband
and the City Manager read the resolution made in Mr. McRobert's honour.
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN-Public Hearing, 2nd and Final Reading
Motion was made by Comm. Whitehead seconded by Comm. Stinnett to read by title only
the ordinance amending the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Title was read by City Manager.
~otion was made by Comm. Stinnett, seconded by Comm. Whitehead to pass ordinance.
Vote was unanimous.
RESOLUTION-DETERMINING RECREATIONAL ASSESSMENT IN PIONEER KEY
Motion was made by Comm. Hager seconded by Comm. Whitehead to read by title only the
resolution determining recreational assessment in Pioneer Key. Title was read by
City Manager. Motion was made by Comm. Stinnett, seconded by Comm. Whitehead to
pass resolution. Vote was unanimous.
REQUEST TO PURCHASE WATER FROM CITY - MR. DON MCINTOSH
Mr. Don McIntosh representing Citrus Oaks requested permission to tie in to the
City's water system. As the property in question is not in the city limits at this
time, the Commission tabled their decision until it gets a recommendation from the
City Engineer.
PRIMA VISTA HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION - MR. JOHN TIMBES
Mr. John Timbes of the Prima Vista Homeowners Association requested permission to
begin work on the Ocoee South Park. The Commission advised that the funds in the
amount of $25,045.00 is available and work should begin immediately.
PROPOSED RESOLUTION

Decision on the proposed resolution on the l~ sales tax in the city was tabled until
next week. Motion was made by Comm. Stinnett, seconded by Comm. Whitehead. Vote was
unanimous.

BOAT RACES ON STARKE LAKE

hold Boat Races on Starke Lake the 20th and 21st of March 1982 and to park
motor homes on vacant lot at the lake. Motion was made to grant permission by
Comm. Stinnett seconded by Comm. Whitehead. Vote was unanimous.
REQUEST COMMISSION APPROVAL FOR A CARNIVAL
Jerry Bohlander of Apollo Beach, FL, requested approval to set up a carnival in
the city to run through Sunday, December 6. Motion was made by Comm. Stinnett
seconded by Comm. Whitehead to grant permission and waive permit fee providing
Mr. Bohlander complies with insurance requirements. Vote was unanimous.
STREET CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
The Street Christmas Decorations will be up this week.

Motion was made by Comm. Whitehead seconded by Comm. Stinnett to adjourn at 8:44 p.m.
Vote was unanimous.
