HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-16-1982 MINUTES OF OCOEE CITY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 16, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor Freeman; Commissioners Hager, Lyle, Stinnett and Whitehead; City Manager Vignetti; City Attorney Rhodes; and Deputy Clerk Grafton ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER Mayor Freeman called the meeting to order at 7:31 P.M. in the commission chambers and then led those present in the pledge of allegiance. 2 FEB 82 MINUTES APPROVED Upon a motion by Comm. Whitehead and second by Comm. Stinnett, minutes of the regular meeting held 2 February 82 were unanimously approved as read. ... PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD DID NOT MEET PETITION 82-2: FOLSOM/CANOLE REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT TO LAND USE PLAN AND ZONING CHANGE FROM C3 TO R3 DENIED Comm. Stinnett moved to consider at this time Petition 82-2 which had been tabled at last regular meeting. Comm. Whitehead seconded and vote was unanimous in favor. Mr. L.M. Folsom introduced ~1r. Robert Londeree, Robert Londeree Planning and Design, who briefed Council on the projected plans for 24 acres located behind Scotties. Comm. Lyle moved to grant change as requested. Comm. Stinnett seconded and vote was:Lyle and Stinnett yea, Hager and Whitehead nay. Mayor Freeman voted nay to break the tie vote. Petition denied. TWIN LAKES FOREST PHASE I WATER DISTRIBUTION LINES, PAVING & DRAINAGE ACCEPTED Comm. Whitehead moved to accept Twin Lakes Foreit Phase I water distribution lines, paving and drainage as per recommendation by City Engineer Walter Kuhrt and City Manager Vignetti. Comm. Stinnett seconded and vote was unanimous in favor. AUTHORITY TO PAY MERIDITH CORP. FOR WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PHASE I Upon a motion by Comm. Stinnett and second by Comm. Whitehead Council unanimously authorized City Manager to pay Meridith Corporation $39,830.68 for Phase I of Water System Improvement. STINNETT REQUESTS CORRECTION IN REPORTING Comm. Stinnett requested that reporters present correct information regarding paramedics that are provided by West Orange Memorial Hospital. ADJOURNMENT Upon a motion by Comm. Lyle and second by Comm.
