PRESENT: Mayor Freeman, Comm. Hager, Lyle, Stinnett, Whitehead; City Manager
Vignetti; City Attorney Rhodes; Deputy Clerk Poling
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Freeman called the special meeting of September 14, 82 to order at
7:30 P.M. in commission chambers and led those present in the pledge of allegiance.
NO OLD BUSINESS
FINAL BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING - FY 82/83
City Manager Vignetti reviewed the Final Budget for FY 82-83. A member of
the audience asked if the budget allowed for hiring additional police officers.
The Mayor explained that no additional officers were needed at this time.
Jerry Grantham asked if a Bike Route could be established in the Bluford Ave.
area of town. The Mayor said that while this would be a good idea there was
not enough space along the street to accomodate a Bike Route.
RESOLUTION - ADOPTING FINAL MILLAGE FOR FY 82/83
The Resolution adopting the Final Millage for FY 82/83 was read in its
entirety by City Manager Vignetti. The millage rate will be $3.1657 for each
$1,000. of assessed value. Mr. Vignetti publicly announced that the millage
rate is 36% below the rolled-back rate. Motion was made by Comm. Lyle, seconded
by Comm. Whitehead to adopt the resolution. Vote was unanimous.

RESOLUTION - ADOPTING FINAL BUDGET FOR FY 82/83
The Resolution adopting the Final Budget for FY 82/83 was read in its entirety
by City Manager Vignetti. Motion was made by Comm. Stinnett seconded by Comm.
Hager to adopt the resolution. Vote was unanimous in favor.
REPORTS/INFORMATION
Advertisement for bids for the community park will be published Sept. 19, 1982
and bids will be opened Oct. 5, 1982.
The Story Rd./Kissimmee Ave. Project is progressing well.
Pop Werner Football Parade will be held Sept. 18, 1982.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion was made by Comm. Hager seconded by Comm. Lyle to adjourn the meeting
at 8:00 P.M.
