HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-01-1983 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR OCOEE CITY COMMISSION MEETING HELD 1 FEBRUARY 83 '.~ PRESENT: Mayor Freeman; Commissioners Cook, Hager and Rodgers; City Manager Vignetti; City Attorney Rhodes; Deputy Clerk Veronee ABSENT: Commissioner Lyle CALL TO ORDER Mayor Freeman called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. in the Commission Chambers and then led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. 18 JANUARY 83 MINUTES APPROVED Upon a motion by Comm. Cook and seconded by Comm. Rodgers the minutes of the regular meeting held 18 January 83 were unanimously approved as written. PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD DID NOT MEET OLD BUSINESS There was no old business. NEW BUSINESS Due to an emergency Mr. Ken Enlow was unable to attend the meeting to present the Insurance Coverage report. REPORTS/INFORMATION City Manager briefed the Commission on the Transportation Task Force report. Comm. Cook suggested a traffic light be put up at Bluford and McKey. Comm. Rodgers suggested heavy truck traffic be routed from SR 437 to Franklin to Taylor to Kissimmee to Hwy. 50 eliminating the heavy truck traffic through town. Comm. Rodgers recommended the purchase of a dump truck should be considered at the end of the 3rd quarter in the FY 82/83 budget. ADJOURNMENT Upon a motion by Comm. Cook and seconded by Comm.
