BLUFORD/MCKEY TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPORT
City Manager Vignetti advised that negotiations are under way with
DOT and a private firm to determine the feasibility of installing a traffic
signal at the intersection of Bluford and McKey Streets. Also a traffic
count will be done to help with this determination.
Comm. Rodgers suggested that something be done to restrict heavy
truck traffic on Bluford Ave. to local deliveries only. City Manager
proposed and the Commission agreed to place signs to mark an alternate
truck route. Signs to be worded "NO THRU TRUCK TRAFFIC - LOCAL DELIVERIES
ONLY" .
Mayor Freeman explained to the Commission that a proposal had been
made regarding the possible tie-in of the City of Ocoee to the City of
Winter Garden's Sewer System. And although this would help alleviate
the problems facing the Industrial Park, it would also be an expensive
step to take. The Commission took no definite action but subject is
under advisement.
Motion was made by Comm. Lyle, second by Comm. Hager to adjourn
at 8:12 P.M.
