Two of the Absentee Ballots were discovered to be invalid due to the
voter's failure to comply with the instructions to place their ballot
inside of a plain sealed envelope prior to placing same inside the
Absentee Ballot envelope.
Mayor Goff declared the winner for Seat #4 to be Vard J. Hager, and then
declared this to be a special meeting for the purpose of establishing
the run off date for the Mayor's seat between Mr. Beatty and Mr. Ison.
Commissioners waived notice and the meeting proceeded. The date for the
runoff election will be Tuesday, November 22, 1983. The polling place
mutually agreed upon was the Ocoee Community Center at 125 Lakeshore
