MINUI'ES OF THE CI1Y OF OCOEE CANVASSING BOARD MEETING HElD NOVEMBER 23, 1983
Mayor Goff call the meeting to order at 12: 01 P.M. in the Corrmission Chambers.
Present were Canvassing Board members Cook and Rodgers, City Attorney Rhodes,
City Manager Burgess, and Deputy Clerk Grafton.
Absent: Canvassing Board members Lyle and Hager.
Mayor Goff armOlIDced that this meeting had been called for the purpose of
counting the absentee ballots.
City Manager advised that there had been 32 absentee ballots requested but only
30 returned to City Hall. (be of those had been turned in at the polls where
that person voted in person. Of the remaining four that were returned and con-
sidered invalid, two persons no longer lived in the city, one was not registered,
and one vote was void because the plain envelope was not sealed inside the
cover envelope. There were twenty six valid absentee votes cast.

Corrm. Rodgers moved to approve the validity of the votes and armounced the
totals. Corrm. Cook seconded.
Mr. Ison asked Rev. Degges to pray and to hold the Bible for him as Mayor
Goff administered the oath of office.
After being sworn in, Mayor Ison took his seat and asked for motion to adjourn.
Upon a motion by ConIn. Rodgers and second by Conm. Cook meeting adjourned
at 12:17 P.M.
