Resolution No. 2000-03
WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee has adopted a strong Comprehensive Traffic
Concurrency Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted an aggressive Activity Center Plan for all
commercial and industrial development; and
WHEREAS, the City also has adopted a State Road 50 Traffic Access Management
Plan; and
WHEREAS, all of these were adopted in order to improve the development standards
in our community so that the quality of life is improved for all of our
residents and the property values are increased for our owners; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee and Orange County have entered into a Joint Planning
Area Agreement with the intent to cooperate in the planning of areas
located within the JPA boundaries.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOL VED that the City of Ocoee
Commission strongly urges the Orange County Commission to work closely with the
City to establish regulations within the enclaves and other unincorporated parcels that
more closely match the land use requirements of our City so that, along with the
property values of our residents, the atmosphere in our community is preserved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, this
18th day of April, 2000.
