HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 84-13 RESOLUTION No. 84-13 City of Ocoee, Florida RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee is very proud of Starke Lake, and the surrounding area as a key recreation spot to the City and the County; and, WHEREAS, the City was so proud of this recreational asset, that the City Board of Commissioners secured grant monies to build a boat dock and launching point for the use and enjoyment of the general public; and, WHEREAS, the City Board of Commissioners believes it is their duty to look out for the good and welfare of the citizens in general, and consequently the publicly owned properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, THAT: No individual citizen shall be allowed to dock his boat for more than 24 hours at a time at, or in the vicinity of the public boat dock on the Western shore of Starke Lake. And, furthermore, that certainly no citizen shall park their boat in this area with a ~or Sale' sign in it, as it detracts for the beauty and usefulness of the area for all other citizens that would like to use same. People in violation of this resolution shall be advised that they are not using the waterfront area as it is intended to be so used, and asked to remove their boat therefrom within six hours, by the City Manager, or his representative, in the guise of a City Police Officer.
