To accomplish this work the plant will need to install storage tanks for the bulk bleach and dispensing pump, remove existing gas equipment, and to contract for a supplier of bulk chlorine. Issue: Should the City convert from chlorine gas to liquid chlorine as the treatment source for the City of Ocoee Reclamation Facility? Recommendations For the conversion work, staff is recommending the awarding the conversion work to Guardian Equipment, Inc. piggybacking off of Guardians contract with Seminole County in the amount of $43,449.50. Staff recommends that it procure liquid bleach needed for the remainder of fiscal year 2005/2006 from Odyssey piggybacking Odyssey contract with the City of lake City in the not to exceed amount of $42,000.00. Attachments: Guardian's proposal to the City for the Conversion work and a copy of their contract with Seminole County; and Odysseys letter extending to the City the same terms of their contract with the City of lake City. Financial Impact: Funding for this conversion ($130,000) was approved in Fiscal Year 2005/2006 Budget as identified by Capital Improvement Plan.
