Background Summary:
The current year budget includes a prqject to construct effective traffic calming counter-measures to combat speeding
on Lady Avenue. from Wurst Road to Nicole Boulevard. Staff conducted a public meeting with interested Lady Avenue
residents on March 8. 2006 to discuss the potential improvements and alternatives.
Staffwill present the potential alternatives and costs at the April 4 City COlmnission meeting.

Consider the traffic calming elements for Lady Avenue.
Recommendations
City Commission to consider the proposed traffic calming elements for Lady Avenue and provide direction to staff for
the implementation of the project.

ISSUE
Should the Honorable Mayor and City Commission consider the potential traffic calming improvements for
Lady Avenue, from Wurst Road to Nicole Boulevard, and provide direction to staff?
BACKGROUNDIDISCUSSION
The current year budget includes a project to construct effective traffic calming counter-measures to combat
speeding on Lady Avenue, from Wurst Road to Nicole Boulevard. Staff conducted a public meeting with
interested Lady Avenue residents on March 8, 2006 to discuss the potential improvements and alternatives.
Staffwill present the potential alternatives and costs at the April 4 City Commission meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff respectfully requests that the Honorable Mayor and City Commission to consider the Lady Avenue traffic
calming improvements and provide direction to staff for implementation.
