Recommendations City Commission to consider the proposed traffic calming elements for Lady Avenue and provide direction to staff for the implementation of the project. BACKGROUNDIDISCUSSION The current year budget includes a project to construct effective traffic calming counter-measures to combat speeding on Lady Avenue, from Wurst Road to Nicole Boulevard. Staff conducted a public meeting with interested Lady Avenue residents on March 8, 2006 to discuss the potential improvements and alternatives. Staffwill present the potential alternatives and costs at the April 4 City Commission meeting. RECOMMENDATION Staff respectfully requests that the Honorable Mayor and City Commission to consider the Lady Avenue traffic calming improvements and provide direction to staff for implementation. - - -
