Subject: Reappointment to the General Employees' Retirement Trust Fund Board.
Background Summary:
Trustees for the Pension Boards serve two-year terms. The City Commission appoints two of the trustees, two are
elected from the employee body, and the fifth trustee is chosen by those four trustees and presented to the City
Commission for certification of the appointment as a ministerial act. Trustee Hendrix has indicated he is willing to
serve another term if appointed. At this time no other applications were received for serving on this board.
Issue:
Should the City Commission reappoint Thomas Hendrix, Sr. as Trustee for the General Employees' Retirement
Trust Fund?
Recommendations
The Trustees of the General Employees' Retirement Trust Fund request this Commission to certify the
reappointment of Trustee Thomas Hendrix, Sr. with term ending September 30, 2008.
