HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-07-1990 Canvassing Board Minutes '-' MINUTES OF THE CANVASSING BOARD MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 7, 1990 PRESENT: Mayor Dabbs, Commissioner Woodson, City Clerk Grafton ABSENT: None This meeting was called pursuant to Ocoee City Charter which states that the Canvassing Board will meet at noon on the day following election day in order to canvass the returns and declare the results of the canvass as the results of the election. Mayor Dabbs called the Canvassing Board Meeting to order at 12 o'clock noon and announced that, as Dorothy Dinkel (the only opposing candidate in the 1990 election) has formally withdrawn her candidacy due to her health, this Board makes the assumption that each candidate has voted for himself and therefore is elected to the office for which each qualified. Mayor Dabbs then administered the oath of office to Commissioner Rusty Johnson for Commission Seat No. 1 (term expires November 1992), Commissioner Paul W. Foster for Commission Seat No.2 (term expires November 1993), and Commissioner Vern Combs for Commission Seat No. 3 (term expires November 1992).
